Be Ready for Anything with the Solar Sentinel 2400TM

Our world is becoming increasingly unstable. With tensions rising at home and abroad, there is a growing risk of citizens losing power for an extended period of time. Terrorist attacks, cyber warfare, EMP attacks, civil unrest, natural disasters, and other potential calamities could put you in a position where you need a sustainable source of off-the-grid power – one that can go where you go.

The PortaMaxPower Solar Sentinel 2400 provides the solution in one portable, rugged, and easy to operate unit.

Why Gas Generators Won’t Cut It in an Emergency

Traditionally, preppers and survivalists have opted for gas-powered generators to prepare for a crisis. The problem with generators powered by any fossil fuel is they continually require fuel, oil, and maintenance. But if there is a true emergency, you can bet the gas stations will run out of supply quickly. Even if you have a large fuel storage tank out back, it too will run out, and you can’t take it with you.  Gas generators have other problems as well, like the fact that they are loud, they create nasty fumes, can’t be used indoors, and they tend to let you down when needed most.  For true, portable sustainability, the Solar Sentinel 2400 is your only choice.

What About Other Solar Battery-Powered Generators?

Today, there are very few portable solar solutions on the market that could reliably power your essential electronic devices in the event of an emergency.  Output is only one of three very important factors when choosing a solar generator.  During the evening, when no solar output is available, the generator relies on the storage battery.  If you are lucky enough to get one that provides the output capacity to power critical appliances like your refrigerator/freezer, their batteries are usually drained in half a day or less.  At a minimum, the storage battery must be large enough by itself to power your essential items through the night.  This brings us to the third and most critical piece to a sustainable solar solution.

Although they may tell you their solar panels can recharge the battery in say “24 hours”, the truth is that their best claims require ideal conditions and ideal conditions don’t occur in the real world.  Even in sunny Florida, the Sunshine State, a typical day provides 5-6 solar hours of sunlight.  So under ideal conditions, it will be days before you have full power back.  More likely, you will be waiting a week or longer.  Know this – their claim also assumes you are not using the unit while charging – not practical to unplug the fridge all day so you can get your battery half charged for the evening ahead – your fighting a losing battle.  Bottom line, enough battery capacity to get you through the night is important – but, if you don’t have enough solar capacity to fully recharge the battery in less than a day, in less than ideal conditions, ready for the evening, while running the fridge, you don’t have a sustainable solution.

What Won’t the Solar Sentinel 2400 Do?

The Solar Sentinel 2400 does not totally replace the power you get from the grid. You won’t be able to power whole home heating and air conditioning units, for example, but this is true of other portable power solutions as well. You can plug in small electric heating and AC units if they plug into a standard wall outlet, but they will not provide sustainable heat or cold air at night or on cloudy days. If you are stuck without power for several days or weeks, plug in a fan to stay cool, or plug in the electric blower on your fireplace or wood stove to stay warm.  Maintaining sustainable power will require a little “emergency management” on your part.

Choose wisely.  Ratings help to compare products, but don’t use them alone to figure real world performance.  What is “left out” by a manufacturer can be more important than the specifications they show.  Be careful to cover cost of use as well, not just initial cost.  Finally, is your solution sustainable?  If you didn’t choose the Solar Sentinel, the answer is no.

Be Fully Prepared with the PortaMaxPower Solar Sentinel 2400

The PortaMaxPower Solar Sentinel 2400 is the first truly sustainable portable solar generator on the market today. Our generator has 2.5kva hybrid inverter/charger that provides 2,000 watts of continuous Pure Sine Wave AC power along with a surge capability of over 6,000 watts. This allows the Solar Sentinel 2400 to easily power essential electronics like your refrigerators, freezers, and electric motors. But this is only half the story.

What truly sets the Solar Sentinel 2400 apart from the rest is its state-of-the-art 24v 100ah LiFePO4 battery, which can be quickly charged by our light-weight 330-watt SunPower solar panels (we recommend three panels and a total of 990 watts of power in most circumstances). The Solar Sentinel 2400 fully charges its powerful battery in less than a day – usually by lunchtime – while in use.

The PortaMaxPower Solar Sentinel 2400 is:

  • Portable
  • Clean / No Fumes
  • Low Maintenance
  • Rugged / Watertight Case
  • Sustainable
  • Silent
  • EMP Protected
